About CMD

Dr. Md. Saleemuddin, Founder Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of Bidrihandicraft.com, an international and national awardee, who has incepted this unique enterprise, with an aim to promote Bidricraft to the international arena, using moderate methods of marketing, online marketing and through exhibitions also. Dr. Md. Saleemuddin, has finished his primary & secondary education at Bidar City and after matriculation, went to New Delhi for higher studies.  He finished his graduation at Dr. Zakir Hussain College, New Delhi with Computer Science.  He has a good blend and taste of sufi music.  He finished his post graduation in music and also did doctorate in the same field from Mysore Sangeeth Vidhyalaya (Music University).  Bidrihandicraft, a profession and a basic source of income of ancestors, forefathers and family members, so he diverted his attention and interest towards this craft, with an intention to promote this unique handicraft to international arena.  He also established organization of artisans by name “BIDAR BIDRI YOUTH MANDAL” (an organization of all bidri handicraft artisans of this bidri industry).  He has given new height and dimensions to this industry with his talent and wisdom. He has became instrumental in launching “NATIONAL GANDHI AWARDS” through his business group joining hands with AIMSS (a SOCIAL, CULTURAL & EDUCATIONAL ORGANISATION). He has been elected as President, of bidri artisans co-op society.  He has brought Geographical Indication tag, to the Bidrihandicraft for Bidar City and made it possible to register all artisans of this craft, with it.  The world has recognized his talent and dedication towards this industry, number of times and awarded him numerous awards, like Kalaniddhi National Award (Surajkundh mela); National Craft Yuva Kirthi Award in the years 2012, 2013 & 2014; Indian Best Handicraft (Artisan) Award;
